From the "Yak-shaving and bike shed repainting" department:

Hello everybody! How’s everybody doing today? It’s June and things are still coming right along apace, but never as fast as I’d want. I am, after all, just one person working on all of this.

So first…

The mobile app

Our beautiful Canary Beta users may have noticed that the Canary Setup app’s beta build has expired. This can only mean one thing: the for-real version of the app is coming.

That’s right: the time is nigh and the iOS and Android apps are nearly released! The iOS app has been very thoroughly tested and is in the App Store review process right now 🤞🏻and the Android app is finished, tested, and in the process of getting submitted for review. This is very exciting stuff! It means we’re getting one step closer to being able to ship Canaries to all you wonderful people.

To that end, there’s a couple new sections to the website here.

The Eight-Eight Hustles store is open!

You can now visit the Eighty-Eight Hustles store, where we’ve got some initial products on offer including pre-orders for Canary! I’ve also been slowly adding new fidget toys to the store, as a way for people to both support Eighty-Eight Hustles while we’re getting started up and also to support neurodiversity in general.

Like Canary itself, each fidget toy is 3D-printed from high-quality materials and assembled by hand in the Eighty-Eight Hustles workshop here in Oakland, California. Stay tuned, as more are getting added all the time.

Much more to come!

That’s not all, but it’s all I can really talk about right now. This is a really exciting time, between starting up this business, launching Canary, being a new dad, and just generally trying to maintain my sanity during these trying times. I’m so happy y’all are joining me for this wild ride, and I’m so excited to finally show off all these things I’ve been working on the past couple-few years.

Until later, space cadets!
